Topical application of liposomes.

چکیده
6. Post-operative evaluation of patients Computerized tomography and magnetic resonance scans should be carried out at 7, 30, 90, 180 and 365 days after PDT. Any recurrence must be measured antero-posteriorly and latero-laterally; the data must be correlated with the neurological check-up and Karnofsky grading. If decompressive craniectomy has been performed during or after operation, it would be useful to describe the possible swelling of the flap.

The influence of the vehicle on the synthesis of porphyrins after topical application of 5-aminolaevulinic acid. Implications in cutaneous photodynamic sensitization.
BACKGROUND The optimal vehicle to ensure adequate penetration of 5-aminolaevulinic acid (ALA) for its use in photodynamic therapy (PDT) of skin lesions has not been determined. OBJECTIVES We aimed to study the effects of ALA in various vehicle formulations [saline lotion with and without dimethylsulphoxide (DMSO), cream, liposomes and vaseline] after topical application in a murine subcutaneo...
متن کاملLiposomes in topical drug delivery.
The possible use of liposomes as topical drug delivery vehicles for both water- and lipid-soluble drugs has been investigated. Data for two characteristic drugs, penicillin G and indoxole, are presented. Liposome uptake by the cornea is greatest for positively charged liposomes, less for negatively charged liposomes, and least for neutral liposomes, suggesting that the initial interaction betwe...
متن کاملPreparation of Stable Plurilamellar Liposomes Dispersed in Two Soluble Types of Collagens and the Effect of Collagens on the Release Rate of Entrapped Sodium Chromate
Combination formulations of liposomes with collagen have been previously introduced as a means of obtaining more stable and less permeable liposomes. In this study, the effect of aqueous solutions of the collagen products COLLAPUR? (COL) and COLLAPURON-DAK? (COLD) from Henkle Co., on the release rate of sodium chromate (CHR) as a water-soluble model drug from stable plurilamellar vesicles (SPLV...
متن کاملEnhanced Topical Delivery of Tetrandrine by Ethosomes for Treatment of Arthritis
The purpose of this work was to explore the feasibility of ethosomes for improving the antiarthritic efficacy of tetrandrine by topical application. It was found that tetrandrine was a weak base (pK(a) = 7.06) with pH-dependent partition coefficient. The spherical-shaped ethosomes were prepared by pH gradient loading method. Ex vivo permeation and deposition behavior demonstrated that the drug ...

Background and Aim: Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is the most common type of alopecia in men. Currently, minoxidil is the only topical drug which has been approved by FDA for the treatment of AGA. However, its efficacy is restricted because of its low skin penetration. Since vesicular systems such as liposomes and niosomes have higher efficacy and lower adverse effects, this study was conducted t...
متن کاملPreparation and Characterization of Naringenin-Loaded Elastic Liposomes for Topical Application
Excessive production of radical oxygen species in skin is a contributor to a variety of skin pathologies. Naringenin is a potent antioxidant. The purpose of the present study was to develop elastic liposomes for naringenin topical application. Naringenin-loaded elastic liposomes containing different amounts of Tween 80 and cholesterol were prepared. The physicochemical properties including vesi...
